The main function of the harness is to connect the following components:
- ZF 6 transmission (6hp26 or 6hp28)
- Shifter
- Engine ECU CANBus
- Plug in CANBus resistors
In addition, there is also:
- +12v, ground and ignition connections
The options available are for:
- 6hp26 or 6hp26x from either the E60 530d or E53 X5.
- 6hp28 or 6hp28x from either the E60 530d lci, E83 or the E70 X5.
Note, we have not included provision for the reverse light activation (as it involves splicing into the shifter wiring) however we can provide instruction on how to add this to the mechanical shifters
The loom has loosely been designed around Land Rover Defender fitment however it has been made with extra length so it can be used in a variety of applications such as Transit van swaps or other vehicles
Whilst every effort has been made to provide detailed instructions to make the loom as straightforward as possible to fit, it still relies on a reasonable working knowledge of vehicle electrics in order to find and safely connect to power and ground sources. We have included the fitting instructions below to aid your judgement.
